Discrimination in the NHS
Age discrimination is rife in the NHS, a
report from Help the Aged and British Gas says. Upper age limits,
longer waiting times and various "exclusion polocies" mean that older
people often get a raw deal. But the use of age to ration health
services flies in the face of our most basic rights to healthcare based
on need, the report argues.
