Patients
who speak little English face a much greater risk of medical error and
misdiagnosis, a new study warns. The problem is caused where no
interpreter is available. The research found that patients with limited
English skills, who are not supplied with an interpreter, are far more
likely to misunderstand instructions for the proper use of medicines.
